Brief Background

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

Community Action for Social Transformation (CAST) is a Community-Based, Non-Profit, and Non-Governmental Organization established in 2023 and registered with local governments in the department of community services in the districts of Arua, Arua City, Maracha, and Terego.

CAST is a membership organization composed of highly qualified professionals with diverse experience from both international and local organizations. Our mission is to supplement government and development partners’ efforts in transforming the lives of vulnerable populations within their communities. CAST focuses on community-driven initiatives, empowering marginalized groups to actively participate in integrated activities that foster self-sustainability and informed social, economic, and political decisions.

We are dedicated to promoting community development and empowering marginalized populations through sustainable alternatives, addressing critical areas of health, livelihoods, education, environment, governance, and human rights.
